The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
I've been striving to make an accurate depiction of what I experienced Monday morning, 8/21/2017 above the John Day River in Central Oregon. Two cameras, one Canon 6D with 24-105, the other a crop sensor 70D with 70-200 2.8. Obviously the wide angle shrinks the sun to something smaller than it was that day, but it's impossible to get the landscape with the zoom. Each body was set to auto-bracket seven images, so I've been playing around with different exposures to recreate a composite of my experience, and I think this is pretty damn close, even with the relative size of the sun. The bright planet visible is Mercury.
