Description
The historic homestead of John Moulton, one of the early Mormon settlers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He arrived with his brother in 1907 and both made adjacent land claims for farming. John married in 1917, and he and wife Bartha eventually had four children. They lived in a very small cabin on their property until 1934 when this frame home was built. An interesting story about the home's color: When Bartha was temporarily hospitalized, he had the home repainted as he wanted to surprise her homecoming with a fresh color. Unfortunately there was a color mix-up and Bartha despised the salmon pink he used. Nonetheless, she so appreciated the sentiment that the color was never changed. Social media sharing always appreciated.
